Artist Statement
We are a husband and wife team currently working in wood and milk paint, stoneware and porcelain, hand-felted wool, recycled rubber, and metal. One of the predominant themes that we explore is the ability for the viewer to interact tactilely with our work. The constructions often consist of repeated elements that the viewer can manipulate through movement revealing the potential for shadowing, reflection, and the differential impact of light.
